INFORMATION FOR EXHIBITORS
ALL ANIMALS MUST HAVE TWO TAGS.
ANIMALS OVER SIX WEEKS MUST BE T.B. TESTED WITHIN 12 MONTHS OF DATE OF SHOW AND MUST BE FROM A DISEASE FREE HERD.
The Society wishes to express sincere gratitude to the sponsors who have kindly donated Prize Money in this section.

False information given in entry forms will lead to disqualffication from all Prize money.
The Committee may amalgamate Classes if they desire.
NUMBERS WILL NOT BE POSTED. COLLECT AT CATTLE OFFICE BESIDE RINGS NO FEES - NO ENTRY. PLEASE ABIDE BY THIS RULE IN ORDER TO FACILITATE THE SMOOTH RUNNING OF THIS SECTION

ALL CHAMPIONS WILL BE JUDGED FROM 1ST AND 2ND PRIZEWINNERS
Prize money for all Classes in the Cattle Section except Championships and where otherwise stated:-
1st - €150.00; 2nd - €90.00; 3rd - €70.00: 5% will be deducted from prize monies for the ISA
THE CORRECT DOCUMENTATION MUST ACCOMPANY EACH ANIMAL ON ENTRY TO THE SHOWGROUND
PLEASE NOTE THAT PRODUCT MAY BE GIVEN IN LIEU OF MONEY IN SOME CLASSES

IRISH SHORTHORN SOCIETY YOUNG HANDLER CLASS 2025
All Classes in Young Stockperson will commence at the same time. Entrants can only participate in one class.
This Class will be judged within two age groups.
ALL ANIMALS ENTERED IN SHORTHORN CLASSES MUST BE PEDIGREE OR THE PROGENY OF SELECTED CATTLE REGISTERED WITH THE SHORTHORN SOCIETY.

All Ireland rules for Beef Shorthorn Classes 2025:
1. All exhibitors must be fully paid up members of the Irish Shorthorn society for 6 months prior to show date for all the All Ireland classes. All animals entered in the All Ireland beef shorthorn yearling heifer class must be registered in the Irish shorthorn society herdbook at least 6 months prior to show day and be certified free of TB by test or parentage.
2. Only one handler per animal allowed in the ring while judging is taking place. In exceptional cases where extra assistance is required, the president of the society or his appointee may grant extra assistance.
3. All handlers must be of smart attire, wear a white coat and display catalogue numbers of their animals prominently.
4. Failure to observe these rules in their entirety will result in sanctions as may be determined by the council of the Irish shorthorn society.
Note: The Irish Shorthorn Society will present All Ireland sashes to both the champion and reserve champions in this class and also specially commissioned medals to 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners in this All Ireland class.
